INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN
EXTENDED
This integrated studio project was a collaboration between Temasek Polytechnic and Social Service Office @Bedok under the Ministry of Social and Family Development ( MSF ), students were tasked to design a space in between the two rental flats of block 30 and 31, the void deck underneath both blocks, as well as connecting all the rental blocks around the area together.

Extended is a space that uses the existing grid lines of the buildings to create new spaces under the void deck, as well as expanding the spaces out into the open. The spaces will feel as if its part of their existing homes, allowing them to feel comfortable while doing daily activities.

The concept was to bring daily spaces down from the residences homes, providing them a space to do such activities together as a community. Hence, allowing them to bond with one another more and create a more lively neighborhood while increasing their sense of belonging at the same time.

Perspective Renders
This project was really meaningful for me as I felt that I have achieved designing a space that will feel like a part of the residences home. Without making the space feel too out of place or overly done and allowing it to still feel inviting and familiar to the people living there.
